Going north either Saturday or Sunday to my favorite fishing hole in New Hampshire.

The question of the day is ------Would you spend five days at a remote fishing camp with these guys and if so ....Why?

The top image was made in 1989 and amazingly all of us are still alive. We have been doing this for over 30 years at last count and we all look forward to it. See past blog entries for more about the trip.

Talked to my 97 year old uncle "Jim" in Myrtle beach and his daughter Gretchen this morning. Just wanted to make sure that the wild fires plaguing that area of the state hadn't made them move out. Both are fine and the fires are north of them, but still quite something.

Well, I have found the time to do some scribble this afternoon and am reviewing what really did occur yesterday as we all dunked our tea bags.

Hey cnn and msnbc.................get a life, this was a family affair! And your obnoxious sexual innuendo's were not!

The photo of the sport's jacket is of Senator Jim DeMint and the other is Gov. Sanford, both of South Carolina. A couple more of the lunatic fringe on the right.

Give me a break cnn and msnbc.

At least these guys have principles and live up to them, which puts them in a minority.

Maybe the media needs to get some principles and live by them........never happen!

I spent the afternoon with three thousand of my closest right wing extremists friends......according to the administration. For you in West Virginia, that's friends who won't vote for Dodd, Barney Frank the banking queen, Kennedy, Pelosi, Reid, your own white haired KKK graduate, or the rest of them!

For those of you in Washington, who live in fear each election, that's three thousand votes you will never get. (Times 600 cities)

Did not see a concealed weapon in the bunch. Even left my own home. But let me tell you, I for one would be honored if any one of those people had my back under any circumstances! Except for the obvious federal observers all dressed in black, with black SUV's, and helicopters. Yeah, a few conspiritor types were lurking.

Thank you, but I will keep my gun and bible and you can have all the change you want. Mostly pocket change after this administration gets done with us. And the previous administration wasn't too swift about controlling spending either. I am an equal opportunity ranter when it comes to DC.

Who was there?

I can tell you as an eye witness!

Normal people. People who care for their country. People who have had enough, and Obama's tax policies haven't even hit! People who are tired of being lied to by every slickster who thinks he/she can be a member of congress. People who think that giving half of their income to government is too much. People who are not represented by their representatives. People who know their being lied to daily by National, local governments, and the media----and can't even get anyone in Washington to pick up a phone and talk to them.

That's who was there yesterday.

And all I can say is ................DO IT AGAIN, AND AGAIN, AND AGAIN.......!

Today's dishonest media..........that consists of nbc, cbs, abc, and cnn (and right I did not use capital letters for a reason) have of course got it all wrong.

Oh did I forget the corrupt New York Times, et al.

This watch-dog of our of political power, the media, is simply in the tank for the left and the current administration.

How can any of you intelligent (and if you're reading this you are intelligent) people sit and listen to all that garbage they feed you every night, knowing that they are simply telling you how it is .................... according to their own agenda.

I don't know what makes me more furious....the media......or the government. Neither one of which has our interests at heart.

And that's the truth!

TAX DAY!

I went to my first ever political demonstration today. The Tax day Tea Party in Columbia, South Carolina.

Quite an experience and I will write more about it tomorrow, but today lets just allow the pictures say a thousand words.

Look carefully at the signs and be rest assured that these people are not...........REPEAT........not your right wing extremists! As some in our dishonest main stream media would have you believe. I guess there were about a thousand people there. Not huge but significant and the people were really nice. Just like a bunch of neighbors getting together..........which is was!

The 13TH day of the fourth month of the year of the OP

SCANA fishing tournament last Friday at the Pine Island Club on Lake Murray here in SC.

We had sixty boats go out into the teeth of 15 to 25 mph wind, but at least it wasn't raining. It started out cold around 5:30 AM but warmed up later in the day. All of the boats actually came back in.

The fishing was off from previous years, as a cold front had gone through earlier in the week, but everybody was enthusiastic. It seems we get more boats every year, which is a good thing.

This is not a professional tournament, but a company function at a company club. But the boats and pickups used to trailer them are certainly of professional caliber. Everybody had a great time and the largest bass was 5.7 pounds. The largest catch was five fish totalling 17.7 pounds. Most of the fishermen had the five fish limit and all the fish were returned to the water unharmed. Catch and release!

This coming week will be interesting to say the least. On Wednesday afternoon, I will be attending a Tea Party on the Capital grounds here in Columbia. First time for me doing anything like this and I firmly believe that we the people need to take our government back. Maybe these tea parties will be a first step. Then in the evening we will be going to a Flat Tax meeting to see Mike Huckabee. Hope to get a bunch of pictures at both events. Keep ya posted.

Here's how you get rid of them!

Let an ice cube melt in the indented area. After it's all melted take a fork and fluff up the carpet where the cube melted. Let it dry and they say it works. BTW, I am not to be held responsible for any of these tips I give.

ICE OUT!

In New Hampshire that is. We will be going up there the 28th of this month through the second day of the fifth month of the year of the OP.

So, there will be no blog for that time. Y'all just have to watch TV instead.

Sunday, we went out on Lake Murray here is South Carolina, on a neighbor's boat and landed a two pound largemouth. Lot of fun, the fishing that is. Somewhere I had a breakfast sandwich with just lit me up. I have been fighting what I think was food poisoning for two days. So good luck on the one hand, and bad on the other. Go figure.

Look for the results of the SCANA bass tournament, to be held on Lake Murray on Friday at the Pine Island Club. We do this every year and have about 60 boats going out in the wee small and bringing back some amazing largemouth bass in the afternoon. The past two years have seen 7 and 8 pound fish take the largest for the day. Just amazes me how these guys do it. It ain't easy as it looks on television and while this is not a pro event, they are good fishermen. Course their pickup trucks must be the same color as their bass boat. It's the law.
