We went to our local "Avenues", a meeting of neighbors working to make the neighborhood better.  We thanked all those who were instrumental in having our street repaved.  It's actually an insidious way of creating more jobs and income for our town.  You see, we now can drive at speeds up to 60+ mph in our little residential area without destroying the undercarriage of the vehicle.  Sure it cost money to do it and sure it employed the people to clean, prepare, and pave the street making it a major through street.  My suggestion was to have police strategically placed (like in our driveway) with speed traps.  Man, there is nothing better than a newly paved road to test the legs of your new Prius or electric car.  Or how about that new pre-owned Dodge Ram pick me up truck.  Another suggestion i had was to put electrical outlets at each end of the street so that when the Chevy Volt runs our of juice we can charge to re-charge.  Everybody makes money.  I am just full of ideas to get this economy going again.  Tickets and charging stations.  Hide the kids honey......they done black topped the road!

In my next life, I think I want to be a vet.  As in veterinarian!

This is our latest adventure in acquiring a second or third mortgage to just pay the puppy bills.  God help us if the bird gets sick.  I guess we'll just have to get a cat and then we'll have the entire food chain covered.

A severe case of pancreas something or other laid this little guy (McGee) low for two and a half days and the "No tell vet motel"!

I know they saved his life and have big time costs, but Phewwwww!  I have no idea where folks think money comes from any more. But in all my years I have discovered the absolute truth about that.  It doesn't grow on trees.  Plus a $200 water bill.....Jeeeeeeeeez!

At any rate, we're glad to have the little rodent home!  Rodent is a pet name of mine referring to the breed known as Chi Wa Wa, and he ate the entire enchilada!

This little green back heron was found on Chesapeake Farms which lies between Chestertown and Rock Hall, Maryland.  A huge farm with a drive along wildlife trail.

Only seventy one degrees here this morning in SC.  Haven't seen temps that low since Jan. and it is delightful.  Almost makes one want to go out and run around the block just for fun.  Probably not though, enough youthful exuberance of one day just writing it.

Seventy four delightful degrees this morning and we had significant rain over night.  Yahoooooo!

  Last night, Standard and Poors down graded the United States credit rating from AAA to AA+.  That's the first time in the ENTIRE history of this country!  This is not good and is yet another yoke around the necks of the American citizenry and small businesses like mine.  We will muddle on however.  I ask simply that you dear reader, who have above average intelligence by the way,  give a little more attention to what the people in Washington DC are doing TO us and not FOR us.  You have to get involved.  This running of our country thing is not a spectator sport.   This time it is different and threatens the very core of our democracy.  Our input must happen more than just every election cycle.  And now it is necessary.

  Shut down the emails and phone lines to your congress people with calls.   Even if it just to express concern.  Please, get local with the people running for office and make sure their values are your own.  Then become a thorn in the side of (that's pain in the ass for those in Baltimore County) of every politician you know.  Tell them to do what's right for the country and NOT what they think is right for themselves or their party.  This has to happen, or your next party will be somebodies Great Big Fat Greek Wedding!  In a country like Greece! OK, Yall have a nice weekend and that's the end of this current rant.  God Bless America, cause we can't do it on our own!

Meet Ruby!

Finally have gotten a flight shot or two of her with the head (eye) sharp and in focus.  Now need to get a better light to bump up the shutter speed to get the wings stops a little better.  Just incredibly inquisitive birds with more energy than a ten year old boy with two of his friends and no parents around!

  My father used to say (God Bless him) that one boy is a whole boy, two boys is a half boy and three boys is no boy at all.  He always related that saying either to my energy or stupidity depending on the lesson he was trying to impart.  I learned the saying but probably not lesson.

I will be rolling out and announcing a new product this month.  I am excited about it and look forward to showing it to you and discussing a new direction with my images.  My Vice President of research and development has been spending copious hours, no days and weeks on this project.  Deep in thought, he has single-handedly found that the demand for what I am going to do will be viral on the net and received by our clients with much anticipated glee.
